I'm not saying this would be a risk related to you specifically, just if something goes wrong when someone is being treated, IRIS covers its ass by ensuring all the proper boxes were ticked and everyone with blood on their hands has their fancy papers hung up on the wall. it's never been a safe place n they don't let kids live on station for good reason. but we used to get more time to explore the riftlands for exploration's sake than cause somebody was lost out there or felt threatened or whatever. these days that balance feels off, but it could just be i got too used to not havin to deal with anything when we got 3 months away.
